To achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 we need help from every age group –children and students as well as those of more mature years! So, working with  schools and families is vital to CFB.

October Monthly Meeting - Going Green in Winsley

Monday 17th October, 7.30 - 9pm, Hartley Farm Shop, Winsley

We will be learning about some of the exciting green developments that are happening in Winsley. The headteacher of Winsley School, Simon White, will tell us about the school's Eco Schools programme and we'll hear from some of the pupils about their visit to Magdalen organic farm the previous week.

Whilst much of Climate Friendly Bradford-on-Avon’s work revolves around our man-made space – homes, offices and cars – we are doing this to protect our Natural Environment. Planting trees helps us to do this whilst ultimately reducing CO² emissions and encouraging wildlife.

Bradford-on-Avon and the surrounding villages are home to many buildings of architectural interest. Much good work is done to retain their character, but there must always be some change to buildings, their uses and infrastructure (the Built Environment) to provide for a thriving economy. CFB wants to ensure change comes on the back of sustainable technologies and strategies.

We hear about the need to reduce our Carbon Footprint. But what is it exactly and why do we need to worry about it?

Find out more.

The Community Involvement Group originally began life as the 2050 group spearheading sign-up to the 2050 Declaration and supporting those aiming for carbon neutrality.

Keep warm, save money and help tackle climate change.

Our new Sustainable Food and Drink Group is now live! 14 people attended the very first meeting on 6th February 2012.  If you would be interested in joining please contact us via climatechampions@gmail.com

Growing our own food has loads of benefits:
