Climate Friendly Bradford-on-Avon Energy Group
Energy Group Meetings
The Energy group reviews current projects and identifies new areas for investigation. The next meeting is at 7:30pm on 8th September 2010 at the Swan Hotel, Bradford-on-Avon.
Current projects include:
· British Gas Green Streets project,
· Bulk-buy for small scale energy generation, and
· Applying for Big Lottery funding to help those who find it difficult to heat their homes.

Other Energy initiatives in the Bradford-on-Avon Community Area include:
- Carbon audits for all schools and Wiltshire Council owned buildings.
- Wiltshire Renewable Energy Resource Study: Commissioned by Wiltshire Council to find the best options for renewable energy in the county. The final report will be available in late summer 2010.
- Wiltshire Council is lending out energy monitors through the Bradford-on-Avon library.
- Businesses signing up to the 2050 Declaration are borrowing energy monitors from CFB as the first step to cutting energy use. See our Community Involvement Group page for details.
- Wiltshire Council has undertaken pilot schemes which introduce part-time street lighting at night. Following the success of these pilots, the project is being extended to other areas including Bradford-on-Avon.
