Community Interest Company

CFB Community Interest Company

CFB is now up and running as a not for profit Community Interest Company, limited by guarantee, which gives us a solid legal basis for future projects we may wish to carry out. Quite a few members have already signed up, which is good news.  If you would like to become a CIC member it's very easy to do and will only cost you a one off membership fee of £5. Becoming a member is an excellent, practical way of demonstrating your support for CFB and will give you voting rights at members' meetings.

Currently we have five directors, Jill Johns, Maureen Wood (also treasurer), Peter Mann, John Effingham and Richard Craft.  All five have been very active in Climate Friendly BoA in a variety of roles and are committed to furthering the aims of CFB.

There are vacancies for two more directors and if anyone is interested in becoming one please e-mail: climatechampions@gmail.com. and let us know any specific skills you will be able to offer us. You will need to live in the BoA Community Area, be passionate about what we are trying to achieve, be fully in tune with our aims and ambition to be come carbon neutral by 2050.

You can read the Articles of Association if you'd like to find out more.  If you'd like to become a member you can find out more about membership and download an application form here.
